Australian journalist and film producer Jordan Bryon gets incredible access to a Taliban unit during the fall of Afghanistan. The country's transition coincides with his own physical transformation as a trans man.

As he and his local cameraman Teddy integrate with the Taliban, Jordan disguises his physiology and is accepted as a man. However, if the Taliban found out about his secret, he and Teddy would probably be in mortal danger. Jordan struggles with the moral and ethical dilemmas that come with his unique situation. The film follows Jordan's journey as he paradoxically gains more freedom during the transition, deftly documenting the increasing oppression of women during the Taliban's transition to power.
