Alexandre lives with his wife and children in Lyon. One day he accidentally discovers that the priest who abused him while he was a scout is still working with young people.

Long repressed memories are awakened. Confused, Alexandre finally finds the courage to take action against the man. His search for other victims of the priest, who is highly esteemed in his office, leads Alexandre to François and Emmanuel. Each of these three men fights with themselves in a different way and each of them will have to contend with the shadows of their past to deal with the far-reaching consequences of that process. Creating a self-help organization “La Parole Libérée” (Liberated Word) is only the first step. The film is based on the actual case of father Bernard Preynat, who in 2016 was accused of sexually abusing about 70 boys in Lyon. 

Directed by the acclaimed French director François Ozon, it is worth mentioning that among the numerous awards, the film won the Silver Bear at the Berlinale in 2019.
