The film depicts the love lives, jealousies and desires of those who work in Sanguiwon during the Joseon Dynasty period.

The Sanguiwon Department was responsible for the clothing worn by the royal family. Dol-Seok (Han Suk-Kyu) is the top craftsman in charge of royal clothing and takes the job seriously, adhering to strict rules. Kong-Jin (Ko Soo) is a designer of genius talent, born with exceptional skill and a great sense of design. He was brought to the palace by the nobleman Pan-Soo (Ma Dong-Seok), who first recognized his talent. The King (Yoo Yeon-Seok) and Queen (Park Shin-Hye) then find themselves embroiled in a crucial case over royal clothing made by Dol-Seok and Kong-Jin.
