"Leonora addio" is the story of the adventurous journey of Pirandello's ashes from Rome all the way to Agrigento, which takes us to a funeral filled with incredible events that took place only fifteen years before his actual death.

At the same time, in the film we follow Pirandello's last story "The Nail", which he wrote only twenty days before his own death, in which the young Bastianeddu is taken from his mother's arms from Sicily and forced to go with his father across the ocean, to Brookyln, where due to the inability to adapt and the nostalgia that he feels for his homeland, starts an irrational crime.
