MATRIARCH is a story of Jasna, a Croatian ex-pat who, due to her mother Anka's declining health, is forced to return to a place she has been avoiding most of her life - her home. 

After a series of successful short films, of which the multiple award "Picnic" should be singled out, director Jure Pavlović returns to us with a feature priority that conquered Pula on his festival journey and won the "Breza" award for best debutant, award for best actress (Daria Lorenci Flatz) and the best camera (Jana Plećaš) while Martin Semenčić received the award for sound design.
