Last Monday and Thursday, a large audience in Zadar in the Cinema Zone had the opportunity to watch the acclaimed documentaries "Honeyland" and "Srbenka". In addition to the film screenings, there were guest appearances by university professors and beekeepers, as well as director Nebojša Slijepčević, from whom many interesting things could be learned. For the very end of a kind of mini-cycle of documentary film, Cinema Zone has prepared a biographical documentary about one of the most famous football players and athletes in general, the great Diego Armando Maradona.
Asif Kapadia's film "Diego Maradona" through a rich collage of archival footage and the narration of Maradona himself, his family members, former teammates and friends tells an incredible story of rise and fall. The focus of the plot is his stay in Naples, where through the club "Napoli", and at the same time the national team, in just a few years he gained the real status of a deity, and in the end an unwanted guest. Adapting to rough Italian football and mentality, gaining unprecedented fame, befriending members of the Camorra mafia organization, debauched night parties, alcohol and drugs are just a fraction of this fantastic story. You have the opportunity to watch the film on Saturday, February 1 at 8 pm in the Kino Zona. In order for all citizens to enjoy Museum Night without interruption, the organizers decided to move the screening, which was originally scheduled for Friday.
You can buy tickets every working day from 8 am to 2 pm in the premises of the Center for Independent Culture (across from the post office on Relja) and at the screening location 45 minutes before the start.
