The formal ceremony of the 37th edition of the European Film Academy Awards, also known as the European Oscars, took place last night in Lucerne, Switzerland, and our Nebojša Sljepčević had the most reason to be pleased with his masterpiece "The Man Who Could Not Remain Silent", with which he rewrote the pages of Croatian film history in golden letters by winning the award for the best European short film, and the famous French director Jacques Audiard, who dominated the category with his "Emilia Perez" feature film where it won as many as five statuettes, including the one for the best film.

The film "Emilia Perez" won the award for best director, screenwriter (also Audiard), best actress (Karla Sofía Gascón), and best editing (Juliette Welfling). We are extremely pleased that you will have the opportunity to preview the aforementioned laureate in our movie theater on Wednesday, December 11. As for the other winners, the fantastic "No Other Land" (you could also watch it in our program) should be highlighted, which won the award for the best documentary, Abou Sangare was declared the best actor in the film "Souleymane's Story", Benjamin Karčun was declared the best cinematographer for his work on "Substance" (you also had the opportunity to see him on several occasions in our cinema), while "Flow" was declared the best animated film. You can find the rest of the winners on the official website of the European Film Academy at this link, while we once again congratulate all the winners, primarily our Nebojša! See you on Wednesday.
