The poetry of the film is mainly achieved through its aesthetics, guided by the strong, innovative and imaginative choices of the director. The spirit of our ancestors — marked by female strength and their legacy — remains with us, even after odu," reads the explanation of the jury of the 30th MedFilm Festival, which awarded Valeria the Cervantes Award for the best short film of the festival. The festival was held in Rome from November 7 to 17. The jury was composed of 13 film school students from Mediterranean countries and four groups of prisoners from the Rebibbia prison in Rome.
In addition, the film won the Grand Prix for the best documentary film at the recently held International Film Festival in Rabat (FICAR) and the award for the best cinematography (Ivan Slipčević). The festival in Rabat is dedicated to brave, demanding, intelligent and radical original works that destroy clichés, and was held from November 7 to 14.
