In the 19th century, a British couple with their newborn child manages to escape from the hell of a burning ship.

From the remains of the ship, the couple builds a tree house by the shore, but a leopard suddenly interrupts their attempt to survive in the jungle. Fortunately, the newborn was saved by the gorilla Kala, who heard the child's cry. Although Kala's partner Kerchak is against adopting the little boy, Kala raises him as her own child and names him Tarzan. A few years later, Tarzan befriends other gorillas and other animals and slowly becomes a member of numerous animal societies. But things change when a group of British explorers appear, creatures unknown to the jungle...
