Everyone has their own chimera, something they try to reach, but never manage to find.

For a gang of robbers of ancient Etruscan tombs and hidden archaeological sites in Tuscany in the 1980s, the chimera is absence from work and a dream of easy riches. To Arthur, the chimera looks like Beniamina, the woman he lost. In order to find her, Arthur faces the invisible, looks for her everywhere and goes underground in search of the door to the afterlife that the myths tell about. The destinies of the characters intertwine on a magical-realistic journey between the living and the dead.
